The sports, entertainment and media committee of the NBA SBL is committed to providing opportunities for legal practitioners to engage, collaborate and innovate in the fields of sports, media and entertainment.

The committee is dedicated to facilitating dialogue between legal practitioners, industry professionals, policymakers, and the broader community to address emerging challenges, seizes opportunities, and drive positive change.

In pursuit of our mission, we have defined 5 critical agenda;

• Advocacy and awareness about key issues in sports, media and entertainment sectors
• Capacity building and trainings for young lawyers
• Stakeholder engagement strategies and initiatives to address sector specific interests.
• Promote industry connections and collaborations.
• Promote development of government policies to support the growth of sports, entertainment and media sectors.

 The committee will foster dialogue and collaboration amongst its members and excos to achieve these critical agendas, while promoting diversity in terms of creating a more inclusive and equitable environment for all stakeholders.

The committee is chaired by Mrs. Beverley Agbakoba – Onyejianya
