Development
The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) is one of the specialist sections of the NBA, set up primarily to engender the professional development of Nigerian commercial lawyers, thereby raising the level of business law practice in Nigeria.
The Section has at its apex, a Council which is currently chaired by Dr. Adeoye Adefulu with twelve (12) other members; and twenty-four (24) sector focused Committees established to cover existing and new areas of commercial law, with a view to enhancing commercial law practice among Nigerian lawyers and Law firms.
Mission
To promote the delivery of qualitative business law services to the public.
Educate
To promote and provide Continuing Legal Education (CLE) to members of the Section.
Knowledge
To promote and provide Continuing Legal Education (CLE) to members of the Section.
Related Activites
To undertake related activities as may be approved by the Council from time to time.
Service Delivery
To guide, assist and organise enlightenment programmes for the Section’s Committees, Legislative bodies and parastatals in the deliberation, drafting and enactment of legislation pertaining to commercial and business issues in Nigeria.
Information Exchange
To promote the exchanges of views and information among the Section and other like-minded bodies as to the laws, practices and procedures affecting the Section, locally and internationally.
