NBA-SBL Chairman Visits the Law Society of England and Wales in the UK Following Successful Collaborative Training in Lagos

OFFICE OF THE LAW SOCIETY OF ENGLAND & WALES, UK

As a follow-up to the highly successful two-day collaborative training and interactive programme held in Lagos, Nigeria, last month, the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), Mrs. Ozofu ‘Latunde Ogiemudia, visited the Law Society of England and Wales at their office in the UK.

The training, which was jointly organised by the NBA-SBL and the Law Society of England and Wales, brought together both young and middle-aged legal practitioners at the bar, including professionals from other sectors to discuss key issues affecting cross-border legal practice, mining, energy, business law reforms, and emerging trends in legal services. The interactive sessions provided valuable insights into international best practices, regulatory compliance, and professional development opportunities for Senior lawyers in Nigeria.

During the Chairman’s visit to the Law Society, discussions focused on strengthening ties between both institutions, exploring future areas of collaboration, and ensuring that the key takeaways from the Lagos programme are effectively implemented. The NBA-SBL remains committed to fostering partnerships that empower legal practitioners and enhance the quality of legal services in Nigeria.

We appreciate the continued support of the Law Society of England and Wales and look forward to building on the success of this collaboration.
